From Innovation to Impact

Learn how ADAR transformed an idea into a global solution for sustainability

ADAR Technologies is dedicated to transforming waste into valuable resources through cutting-edge acoustic dehydration technology. Our mission is to revolutionize waste processing by providing a sustainable, energy-efficient, and scalable solution that reduces environmental impact while unlocking new economic opportunities.

From Prototype to Professional Unit

Our story began in 2017 when we realized the pressing need for a sustainable solution to process and dry animal manure, which had become a big ecological and economical problem. We knew that traditional drying methods were not only capital intense, but also had a big CO2 footprint. We wanted to change that.

In 2018, we built our first prototypes, which were tested over the next four years both in The Netherlands and in the United States. We quickly realized that the potential for our technology extended beyond just animal manure. There were comparable problems with sludges from ports, sewage, waste water, and even with large amounts of fresh produce that were never consumed as they could not be dried in time and therefore rotted away. We saw an opportunity to make a difference.

Our team worked tirelessly to create a solution that not only addressed these problems but also reduced the carbon footprint of waste remediation. Unlike traditional drying methods, we do not only evaporate moisture, but by mechanically extracting it, we need only 20% of the energy that traditional drying methods consume, and only using electricity. We do not use any chemicals, fossil fuels, or produce any carbon emissions. This allows our customers to create organic products, significantly lower their utility costs, and lower their carbon impact score while also creating carbon credits.

Our first prototype was made from used and scrap components put together with duct tape. But to our surprise, the principle worked well, even without optimized parts.

Together with various focus groups and interested companies, we designed a professional unit that has been tested for two years with many materials, varying from rock, eggs, shellfish, corn, biomass, woodchips, glass, pig manure, sludges, avocado cores, and many others.

Our Generation 3 ADS prototype (pictured above) was a research and development machine used to test 70+ materials.

Our Generation 4 ADS (pictured above) was built in Q4 2024. We are currently conducting R & D to optimize its performance.

Our Launch

In 2022, ADAR Technologies was officially formed, bringing together the Dream Team. Leading the charge is CEO Dan Kelly, a seasoned entrepreneur with over 15 years of success in business leadership. COO Doug Farrington brings deep expertise in the agricultural sector, coupled with two decades of experience driving startup growth. Chief of Staff Chrissy Hudson leverages 17+ years in nonprofit leadership and over a decade of business operations consulting across industries such as financial services, marketing, manufacturing, and retail. At the heart of our groundbreaking technology is Arie Bos, the visionary behind ADAR’s innovation, serving as Technology Advisor. Together, this team is redefining possibilities in sustainable solutions.

Our Focus

Our focus is on delivering revolutionary waste remediation/conversion solutions to both public and private sector customers around the world. Customers engage ADAR to convert significant waste expenses into new profit streams all while reducing significant carbon and methane emissions into the atmosphere. We offer a 3-in-1 solution: Material Dehydration, Material Pulverization, and Material Sanitization, making us a first mover in the industry.

Our Future

Our R&D team is focused on optimizing the Gen 4 MVP machine for peak performance as we prepare for its commercial release. We’re excited to see growing interest from a variety of industries, including agricultural waste, food waste, and municipal waste industries. Additionally, private and government entities in the waste processing industry have also shown interest in our solution.

At ADAR, we are committed to revolutionizing the waste remediation industry and providing sustainable solutions for our customers. We are excited to continue our journey and make a positive impact on the world.
