Sustainable Innovations:
Our Journey to a Greener Tomorrow
ADAR's mission is to lead the way in sustainable waste management, offering cutting-edge solutions that convert waste into valuable products. We are dedicated to promoting a more circular economy, fostering environmental stewardship, and creating a world where waste is transformed into resources for a sustainable future.
From Prototype to Professional Unit
Our story began in 2017 when we realized the pressing need for a sustainable solution to process and dry animal manure, which had become a big ecological and economical problem. We knew that traditional drying methods were not only capital intense, but also had a big CO2 footprint. We wanted to change that.
In 2018, we built our first prototypes, which were tested over the next four years both in The Netherlands and in the United States. We quickly realized that the potential for our technology extended beyond just animal manure. There were comparable problems with sludges from ports, sewage, waste water, and even with large amounts of fresh produce that were never consumed as they could not be dried in time and therefore rotted away. We saw an opportunity to make a difference.
Our team worked tirelessly to create a solution that not only addressed these problems but also reduced the carbon footprint of waste remediation. Unlike traditional drying methods, we do not only evaporate moisture, but by mechanically extracting it, we need only 20% of the energy that traditional drying methods consume, and only using electricity. We do not use any chemicals, fossil fuels, or produce any carbon emissions. This allows our customers to create organic products, significantly lower their utility costs, and lower their carbon impact score while also creating carbon credits.
Our first prototype was made from used and scrap components put together with duct tape. But to our surprise, the principle worked well, even without optimized parts.
Our first prototype (pictured above) was made from scrap components and held together with duct tape.
Together with various focus groups and interested companies, we designed a professional unit that has been tested for two years with many materials, varying from rock, eggs, shellfish, corn, biomass, woodchips, glass, pig manure, sludges, avocado cores, and many others.
Our professional unit (pictured above) has been used to test over 60 materials.
Our Launch
In 2022, ADAR Technologies was officially formed, bringing together the Dream Team. We have Dan Kelly as CEO with over 15 years of experience as a successful entrepreneur, Doug Farrington as COO with deep experience in the agricultural space and over 20 years of experience working with startups, and Arie Bos as CTO, inventor and patent owner of ADAR’s revolutionary technology.
Our Focus
Our focus is on delivering revolutionary waste remediation/conversion solutions to both public and private sector customers around the world. Customers engage ADAR to convert significant waste expenses into new profit streams all while reducing significant carbon and methane emissions into the atmosphere. We offer a 3-in-1 solution: Material Dehydration, Material Pulverization, and Material Sanitization, making us a first mover in the industry.
The market's initial response to ADAR's technology has been overwhelming. ADAR has 10+ global customers that are seeking to enter into lease agreements after the successful test of their trial material. The company currently has Letters of Interest and pending purchase orders for 30+ units. We launched a Regulation D506(c) & S campaign in 2022 to build demonstration centers for prospective customer testing within the United States and Europe and to enable organizational growth by expanding sales, production, and supply to meet customer demand globally.
Our Future
Our R&D team is continuously enhancing the technology and design, and we are now prepared to deliver the first units. We have received significant interest from various sectors, including agricultural waste, food waste, and municipal waste industries. Additionally, private and government entities in the waste processing industry have also shown interest in our solution.
At ADAR, we are committed to revolutionizing the waste remediation industry and providing sustainable solutions for our customers. We are excited to continue our journey and make a positive impact on the world.
